Hollywood Anti-Hero
Had Mickey Rourke won the Oscar award for Best Actor, maybe the world would have gotten to see something like this...
(I still havent done my write up on The Wrestler... But I enjoyed it immensely)

Latin Culture at its... BEST!
Today I came across a youtube video, but not just any video... It is the new standard by which I will judge all other fast-food commercials from this day on.
Ive probably watched it about 20 times now, and cant get enough. Im a Pollo Yon guy addict...
Quiero Pollo Yon!

Time out of mind...
"The half gallon jug seems to empty itself more easily every time," he though to himself while sitting in his car, waiting to go back to his supposed home, his four corners and a door. The nights had gotten longer and lonelier as time went on, the phone didn't ring, the other pillow still cold.
"Somehow nothing seems to be of much interest to me lately," he thinks, the contents of the jug starting to take effect. The things that used to be the norm just aren't what they used to be. Things have changed, people have changed while he remains the same. Change is in order, but this gets lost in his now foggy head.
"Why cant I just move on," he ponders after taking a tough drag off of a half lit cigarette. The empties in the trunk, the nights spent waiting, wishing. Deep down a feeling still lingers. Someone once took a part of him, a part that is still missing. A void that cannot be filled until he realizes that that someone will never show, will never be back...

Lyrics I Like...
Lately one of the main topics floating around in my head has been life (death?). A couple people who have been and will continue to be influential in my life are dealing with tough times physically and Im sure mentally.
"Its a bitch getting old"
-F.A
Artist: Warren Zevon
Album: Life'll Kill Ya
Song: My Shits Fucked Up
Well, I went to the doctor
I said, "I'm feeling kind of rough"
He said, "I'll break it to you, son"
"Let me break it to you, son"
Your shit's fucked up."
I said, "my shit's fucked up?"
Well, I don't see how--"
He said, "The shit that used to work--
It won't work now."
I had a dream
Ah, shucks, oh, well
Now it's all fucked up
It's shot to hell
Yeah, yeah, my shit's fucked up
It has to happen to the best of us
The rich folks suffer like the rest of us
It'll happen to you
That amazing grace
Sort of passed you by
You wake up every day
And you start to cry
Yeah, you want to die
But you just can't quit
Let me break it on down:
It's the fucked up shit
"Its a bitch getting old"

2009
There is something that seriously bothers me about 2009. Im not sure if its the number itself, the fact that 2008 wasnt necessarily the best year ever, or if Im just being my usual pessimistic self. I guess I probably wont figure out why I get bad vibes from 2009 until the year is over, so for now I shall merely check "Other" and figure that as good a reason as any to dislike this particular one hundredth of the century.
Then again, maybe I am completely wrong (yes, it happens upon occasion). Yesterday and the inauguration of Obama was an historic milestone, one which promises to change the future of the US and the world, and most likely one of the few events that will be remembered and passed down by our generation. I can see it now: "I remember the day that Obama was made President of the United States." Grandchildren everywhere will be reminded of 2009 and the changes that it brought. Or maybe they wont.
Regardless of whether I am in agreement with the fact that the earth decided to take another trip around the Sun, I realize that 2008 is done and gone, and have decided to follow tradition and come up with a few resolutions for the now not so new New Year.
Drum Roll Please...
And here in no particular order are Chris' Rules to Live By for 2009:
1.- Exercise Mind: Read, read, read... And maybe work on some Sudoku, seems to work for the Japs...
2.- Exercise Body: More cardio, more weights... Thinking about buying a bike, bikes are fun. That and cock push-ups, gotta keep the twatscicle in shape...
3.- Write (More often): Put pen to paper, fingers to keys, unblock my mind and let it all flow...
4.- Save Dough: Enough spending hard earned Benjamins on stupid shit, would like to at least make one big trip this year...
5.- Snort Coke Off a Hookers Ass-Crack: Ok maybe not, but you gotta admit itd be pretty epic...
6.- Keep Organized: Try to plan my days, keep things straight, not waste time...
7.- Grow a Pair: Give it a shot. Take iniciative. Dont let my mind talk me out of things I might actually really want. If it happens to be a chick/girl/woman just go for it...
8.- Think of More and Better Resolutions as the Year Progresses: That way Ill have something to work on in 2010 Woo...
